On 23 June 2017 took place the ETSI Mission-Critical Push to Talk (MCPTT) Plugtests event, gathering 140 participants from 19 different vendors. The event took place at the ETSI headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France. The test sessions were observed by seven government and public safety network operator organizations from Belgium, Finland, France, Norway and the UK.
We are delighted to announce that the report of the PSCE conference that took place on 4-5 May in Munich is now available.
The report provides a rather comprehensive overview of the various themes and topics presented during the conference.

The 17th PSCE Conference will be held in Madrid on 28-29 November 2017 with the support of the Spanish National Police. The event will be preceded by a workshop on Next Generation Emergency Communications on the 27th.

On June 13th, David Lund (PSCE) successfully participated to the 2017 PSCR Public Safety Broadband Stakeholder Meeting in San Antonio, USA, as part of the International Public Safety Deployment Panel.
Today June 7th the EC announced the launch of the European Defence Fund.
The fund has been created as a response to the increased instability and conflicts in the neighbourghood of the EU and to the new security threats that are emerging. These new challenges cannot be adressed by member states alones, hence the need for a comprehensive strategy.
